Ever since seeing how slow couchdb is, I get annoyed every time I hear NoSQL. Look into Postgresql + SSD + Bare Metal Servers before NoSQL.

@paraschopra I leave ubuntu on my servers. With a macbook and 8gb ram you can test on every os easily. If you go ssd, I like the intel 160g
